interjection

in an age of technology and recent events i can't help but think about place, or a persons sense of place geographically speaking.
i revert back to art history and think of movements, like the furturists and dadaists; then place meant everything. artists caught word of this movement and moved there to be a part of it.
with the internet at my fingertips almost constantly, my sense of place seems to dissolve into the webplaces i visit and how informed i am. now, one can be at anyplace at any moment; its a mind boggling powerful thing to think about.
ones place only seems to become relevant when it is affected by something that is out of the persons hands, such as a flood, a job, etc.
